Why follow this artist

The debut has an identifiable narrative aim: a young woman’s attempt to escape a village that has chosen her for a religious role. That makes it an emerging filmmaker lead worth following without claiming an established filmography. The useful question is how setting and suspense serve her choices, rather than how quickly a beginner can generate images.
