Why this film matters

An 82-minute story demands choices that an isolated generated shot can avoid: recurring identities, scene geography, pacing, and a reason to move from one sequence to the next. Dark Paradise is useful to study at that scale because its maker also exposes the material behind the finished work.

An inspectable process

Kononov says he wrote, directed and assembled the film alone over a month using Seedance 2.0 and FlashBoards. The publicly offered boards connect prompts and references to generated footage. Looking at a sequence alongside its source board is a practical way to investigate how a filmmaker arrives at an image, rather than treating the final image as a lucky result.

The current FlashBoards model catalogue has changed since this film was made. Its latest advertised models are not evidence that they were used in Dark Paradise. Costs and the solo-production claim remain creator-reported.
